Can you help critters ?

    Of course you can.  Anything helps, everything helps.  Pick any charity any listed here, or not listed here, and send them money !!!!  Send it to them directly, do not send me any money !!!!  I do not want your money !!!!  I do not collect or distribute donations !!!!

    Got any old stuff lying around that still works ?   List it here, and let's see who needs it !  It doesn't have to be a critter thing - they need lawn mowers, window air conditioners, paint brushes, computers, who knows what ?

    Put the charity of your choice in your will !!!  Or name them as beneficiary in that 'accidental death and dismemberment' policy that comes with your job !!!  Yes, you can do that, I've been doing it for over 20 years !!!! 

Can you help me ( that is, can you help HelpTheCritters.com ) ?

    I'm always open to suggestions.  Keep in mind, of course, that the only focus of this website is helping critters.  I personally do not need any financial help, thanks for asking.  I am always open to input as to how to help critters.  Please !!! Never EVER send me donations.  I do not want them.  Send them directly to the critter charities.

    I can tell you that I do not need help in paying for HelpTheCritters.com.  It really doesn't cost that much, and I make a good living as a computer programmer.

One thing you can do for me :  

   If you decide to donate in some way to some charity related to this site, or especially if you adopt a critter or find a home for one, or if you decide to become involved in helping, or to tell people about this site and about helping critters, etc - please drop me an email and let me know.  Maybe even send a snapshot or a JPG of the critter you adopted or helped.  That is how I get rewarded for all this - by knowing that I have helped.  Please let me know that I have helped, that makes it all worthwhile for me, and inspires me to continue.

 Other things I could use help in :

        Graphics.  I'm not an artist.  I would love to have a logo that I could use at first for the web site, and later for T-shirts, mugs, etc, that I may ( or may not ) want to have made as promotional items to bolster support for the goal of this website, helping critters.  I'm still trying to figure out how I could use things like that to increase support for non-profits, rescue orgs, etc.  Maybe have contests for 'biggest donation to a related charity' ?  Maybe sell them and donate the profits ?  I don't know.  But I would surely need graphics help for any such things.

        Ideas - I'm always looking for ideas for this site, and how to make it more effective.

        Spread the word - add a pointer to HelpTheCritters.com to your email and newsgroup postings.  Add a link from your web pages.  Help get it known !!!

        If you don't know how to help right now, but would like to ' be available', send me an email saying so.  Give me a brief idea of what areas you think you might be interested in.  I'd love to build up a 'contact list' !  It doesn't have to be money ( send that to the charities directly ), it doesn't have to be anything special, just let me know you'd like to help.
